It is so challenging to take a successful picture while holding Palesa. I can't get my arm far enough away to take the picture, I can't see her through the screen lens, and the angle is usually funny. But this one turned out okay! Palesa is now 6 weeks old.
I remember when she was about 10 days old taking a walk to the Post Office with Osei in Jamaica Plain. We saw a mother with a 6 week old baby. I remember looking at Palesa and the little boy, and I could hardly imagine that Palesa would ever be that big and that old. But I guess as is to be expected, time moves forward, and Palesa hit 6 weeks!
Creating a beautiful home and family with my fabulous groom and new baby daughter as we enjoy a simple yet abundant life together.

13 Days, and a great visit from great friends!
Today was a really great day. Our dear friends, Chelsea and Dave came to visit from Vermont. We had a wonderful afternoon, and were very blessed when they cooked us two meals for the week. Chelsea seemed so astonished at how much smaller Palesa looks in person than in the photos. So, we took this picture to give a sense of scale. I guess you could say she is still pretty tiny.
Daddy likes to blow kisses on her. We were actually trying to keep her awake, with the grand idea that if she stays awake in the evening, she'll sleep during the night. Unfortunately, we were far from successful, and Palesa and I were both up since 4:30 am.Chelsea, Amy, and Palesa

Part II, the year in pictures
Memorial day in Pittsburgh to re-live my mom's college days and celebrate a cousins' med-school graduation
I think I would also have more fun in my apartment if I were small enough to crawl under the chairs, like my cousin Melony's lil' guys, Frasher and Cason

Beautiful even on a rainy afternoon during a Chataqua hike (that would be Boulder, if the flatiron wasn't obvious enough)
